EXPERIENCES
Beyond individual therapy, I offer training for professionals as well as experiential work for those drawn to older ways of learning.
For guides, facilitators, educators and organisations working with groups

I've spent 25 years working in remote wilderness contexts - as a guide, a trainer and now as a psychotherapist specialising in trauma. The training I offer comes from that intersection: practical, relational skills for people who hold groups through challenging territory, whether that's literal wilderness or the wild complexity of human dynamics.

These trainings are grounded skills for the situations you actually encounter in group work no matter the environmental - and the competence to use them without second-guessing yourself.
Each training can stand alone or be woven together.
WILDERNESS VIGIL
Across cultures and across time people have gone into the wild, away from the company of humans, to listen. For something beneath the noise of their own thinking, to mark a transition, to find direction, to remember what they belong to.
This is that ceremony.

Twelve days in the Anysberg.
Four days of preparation, four days solo in the wilderness, four days of integration. The solo is the heart of it - but what comes before and after is what the solo needs to land. What happens out there needs tending.
As Martin Shaw says, this is the journey from dreaming to getting dreamt. It doesn't give up its meaning easily.
You don't need to have done anything like this before. The land knows how to do its work. Your job is simply to show up and stay present. That is why we call it a vigil.
Four days in the wild without human company. No food. No distraction. Just you, the land, and whatever arises when the human world goes quiet.

NATURAL MEDICINE MAKING

Learn the plants around you. Make simple medicines at home.

A practical, hands-on introduction to local plant knowledge
and natural preparations.
Plants have been the first medicine in every culture that has ever existed. Somewhere along the way, most of us lost the thread - the knowledge of what grows nearby, what it does, and how to work with it.
This workshop is about picking that thread back up.

In half a day you'll learn to make real preparations from plants you can grow, forage or find in your kitchen. It's a practical, hands-on introduction to making your own natural remedies. Nothing complicated. Nothing you need special equipment for. You'll leave full of ideas, leaves and flowers in your pocket and enough knowledge to get yourself going at home.
